let's say you are a princess
What time period would you rule in?: Middle Ages
Which country or region would you rule over?: Scotland
Which monarch (mythical or real) do you most admire (in terms of political ability, court life, looks, etc)?: Queen Elizabeth I
Describe your court and your wardrobe: My wardrobe would be pretty simple, with a tendency toward burgundy. There would also probably be a tendency toward sari-like clothing. As for my court, I'd try to make it so they weren't afraid to tell me their opinions, because how else would things be ruled fairly otherwise?
Describe your prince (or princess!): Someone smart who respects me.
Which comes first: your prince or your ladies-in-waiting?: This completely depends on the situation and who I think would be able to take care of themselves better at the time.
How do you view/feel about love?: I'm hopeful that I'll find love one day.

Margaret Stewart
This may be way out there but I came across Margaret Stewart; a princess of the Kingdom of Scotland and Dauphine of France whom she was described as: "a lovely, gracious and very beautiful girl with a certain ability to write poesy and rhymes." which seemed befitting of you.

There is something that reminds me of her in the terms of your hopeful that you'll find love one day (she had troubles with her husband and sadly, became depressed). She also appeared to be the girl who just wanted to get on with her life, to be free and enjoy herself in the way she felt best but her "plans didn't happen".
